People concerned with fatigue have weight issues and weight reduction regimens can increase fatigue. A weight loss clinical trial was initiated using an oral supplement mixture containing an FDA approved amylase inhibitor plus NT Factor®. The objective was to see if subjects could safely lose weight without increasing appetite, fatigue and without changing eating or exercise patterns or using drugs, herbs or caffeine. At the end of a 2- month open label clinical trial, the entire group of participants lost an average of 3 pounds, and had average reductions of 1.5 inches and 1 inch reductions at the waist and hips respectively. While 63% of the participants exhibit a weight loss average of 6 pounds and  2.5 and 1.5 inch reductions at the waist and hips respectively. Participants experienced a gradual and consistent weight loss during the entire trial. There was a 44% reduction in overall hunger with reduced cravings for sweets, therefore notable appetite suppression occurred. Using the Piper Fatigue Scale the entire group showed a 23% reduction in over fatigue. Blood lipid profiles generally improved, suggesting improved cardiovascular health, and no adverse effects were noted clinically or found in blood chemistries.
